Paper backdrops and other background options
At our photography studio, we stock a wide range of photo studio backdrops. The main type used for the majority of shoots is paper backdrops. These backdrops come in various vibrant colours. From classic white to bold red, we stock around 27 colours in total. Each colour can add a unique touch to your photos. These papers are included as part of your studio hire. Paper backdrops come in a standard 2.72m width.
Combine these with the colour gels we stock, or the RGB video lights we use, and you can create an infinite number of colours.

Not seen here are the black and white papers we stock; they don’t really need to be shown here. We’ve also added a few more since I took this picture – dark brown, bright lagoon blue, spring green. Read from left to right…across & then down.
Perfect for Fashion Shoots
Our paper backdrops are perfect for fashion photography. They provide a clean and seamless background. This ensures that the focus remains on the model and the clothing. The variety of colours allows for creative freedom. You can choose backdrops that complement the outfits and enhance the overall look of the shoot.
Painted Canvas backdrops
We also have a small number of painted canvas backdrops thats can be hired for a small additional fee. These photo studio backdrops can be used to create a more painterly style portraits.
Blackout Room Backdrop
For video shoots we can also set up a blackout room set where we layout a black floor and also stretch a black fabric over the stage wall. The extra width make shooting landscape 16 x 9 video easier.
Green Screen Backdrop
Also for video shoots we can set up a basic green screen.
